On the evening of August 13, Russian military forces launched a series of air strikes targeting the city of Kramatorsk and the nearby urban-type settlement of Bilenke in Ukraine's Donetsk region. The attacks reportedly involved aerial bombs, resulting in at least one confirmed death and 15 injuries, according to regional authorities.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, detailed that eight strikes occurred between 20:30 and 20:56 local time. Several residential buildings were hit, including a multistory apartment block in Kramatorsk, parts of which collapsed and caught fire. Emergency responders continue to search for possible trapped residents beneath the rubble.
